Watagan Park, a master-planned estate located at the foot of the scenic Watagan Mountains in Cooranbong, NSW, has been a dream in the making for nearly a decade.

Initiated by Johnson Property Group (JPG), Watagan Park spans 356 hectares, offering a blend of natural beauty and modern convenience. Recognised as a major urban release area by the New South Wales Government, this development is set to accommodate significant population growth.

Our timeline
2005
Initial planning and negotiations begin with Lake Macquarie City Council.
2008
Land rezoned for residential and master plan approved.
2011
Construction starts.
2012
The first lots are released for sale.
Watagan Park welcomes its first 48 families.
2013
The first display village opens.
2020
Community facilities, including playing fields, a cricket pitch, and community centre completed.
Second display village opens.
2021
Altogether Group launches a $16 million local water centre to support sustainable water use in the Watagan Park community.
2023
Watagan Park welcomes its 1,018th family.
Shopping centre approved.
2025
Our town centre is coming to life, soon to be home to Woolworths, and 23 specialty stores.
Future
Future developments including apartments, a skate park and sporting complex to enhance community living and recreational opportunities.
